Michelle Gordon started The Defining Moments after being involved in weddings and special events for over 10 years. Michelle started in the 1990's by doing make-up for weddings. After graduating from college, Michelle started her career working for network sales at CBS which included working hospitality on events such as The Daytime Emmy Awards, The Olympics, NCAA March Tournament, The U.S. Open and The NFL on CBS. Michelle moved on to work as a business manager at Deutsch. Deutsch is the advertising agency featured on Donald Trump's The Apprentice. At Donny Deutsch's agency, his philosophy of "roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done" is now an intrinsic part of who Michelle Gordon and The Defining Moments are. As a Business Manager, a few of Michelle's responsibilities included, negotiating rates with production vendors; preparing estimates and contracts for all TV and Radio productions.

Michelle and her staff are a full service event planning company, specializing in weddings. This includes everything from A-Z in planning your wedding. We will even assist your bridesmaids and/or Mom with your Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party. We double check and triple check every last detail, so you do not have to worry about anything on your wedding day. An additional feature that The Defining Moments offers, The Wedding Sitters was started so you and your guests do not have to worry about who is watching their children while the adults are celebrating your day with you. After planning her own wedding, Michelle knew that her personal experience combined with her professional background could assist future brides. Michelle officially incorporated in 2005 after running the business as a second job for 4 years. Michelle has been assisting brides and grooms in the tri-state area, and hasn't looked back. We look forward to new opportunities to assist future brides.
